Congratulations, Helen, Devyani, Chandler, and Danny, for being honored this morning at the 2013 Palo Alto PTA Council Annual Honorary Service Awards. You are why HMGGMH!
These peer leaders participated in the first of three Constructive Listening training sessions. Thoughtful, empathetic students who volunteer their time to make Gunn — and themselves — better are why HMGGMH.
Now more than ever we need to express our appreciation and concern for one another. Smile at a stranger. Ask someone how he or she is doing — and really mean it.
Gunn students taking care of each other is why HMGGMH.
I graduated around two years ago, and to this day, I am still so very thankful for the environment of Gunn High School. This is an amazing school.
Sixty Gunn students have volunteered for QPR training to learn how to be even better Peer Leaders. Students who are both ambitious and caring are why HMGGMH.
Tell Gunn students and staff what you appreciate about them. Available in the SAC, in V-7, or with any ROCK member, they will be distributed next Tuesday, December 11, and they come with two blank ones to “pay forward.”
Consider sharing those sentiments here, too, so others can appreciate them.
Not waiting until it’s too late to tell people what we appreciate is why HMGGMH.
More than 30 people attended the first training of our second year working with Sources of Strength. The energy, optimism, intelligence and Gunn pride all concentrated in the SAC was inspiring and is why HMGGMH.
Welcome, Class of 2016! It’s been great to see you on campus. It’ll feel like home before too long.
