I love my LAX girls

I love my LAX girls who I see at practice everyday. You all crack me up, and I will never forget these past few days during which we’ve trudged through the mud, star-drilled it up, and tried to learn each other’s names as best we can. I already foresee that we are going to have a tight bond this year. Side note, I think FOGOs should be our unofficial official slang word. Laxers at HMGGMH!

Seeing how the Gunn community came together

Seeing how the Gunn community came together to protest the WBC was truly inspiring.  I have never been more proud to have gone to such an AMAZING, supportive, and loving school.  I am so thankful for all the great memories, friends, and teachers that have influenced me from Gunn.  The Gunn community GMH. <3

I was walking around Gunn yesterday

I was walking around Gunn yesterday (the day of the protest), and seeing everybody come together to support what they believe in made me realize just how lucky I am to go here. Seeing everyone wearing their shirts and hearing them sing made me so proud to be a part of it, and a part of Gunn. HMGGMH.

There is so much love at our school

HOLY F***  (is it okay if i swear here?) there is so much love at our school, lyrical and otherwise. from singing together in a theater to singing together on the quad, i could just feel that i was really part of this compassionate group of kids. it doesn’t matter if i never get to know any other students than my friends, or that if i do, that i don’t get along with them. we just love.

Today the WBC visited Gunn

Today the WBC visited Gunn High school and Stanford University. I’ve already read articles online depicting the solidarity and love throughout Gunn’s campus to combat the hate-spreading message of that church. Gunn’s unity and love gmh :)

i love you guys,
I’m very, VERY proud of you.

I love my new F period class

I love my new F period class, The Oracle. Its a great bunch of people working together to create a newspaper that the rest of the school can enjoy. The class is lighthearted and has a casual, comfortable atmosphere and I just know that it’s going to be one of my most enjoyable classes for the rest of the year, if not for the rest of high school. Simply being at Gunn

Simply being at Gunn gives me hope. Everytime I step on campus and greet my friends, I know that the day won’t go by without at least ten jokes that will bring a smile to my face. Without Gunn I would be a very unhappy camper.HMGGMH

Nothing incredibly special

Nothing incredibly special happened today.
Just that I was looking through the yearbooks for inspiration for this year’s and it suddenly occurred to me -
No matter what happened
No matter what happens
No matter what will happen -

Thank God I went to Gunn High School.
This school never ceases to amaze me.
I am fortunate enough to say that I really really like my school :D

As our Spanish final started

As our Spanish final started everyone in the classroom was tense, really worried or both. As we started writing someone outside walked by, whistling. Everyone started smiling, and as the tension melted away, the final didn’t seem so bad after all. Anonymous whistlers are why HMGGMH!

At my college interview yesterday

At my college interview yesterday, my interviewer told me that one of the best things about X university was that you meet so many passionate people with different talents. She said that was something that was missing in her high school experience. As I listened to her speak about the interesting people whom she met, it made me feel so privileged to have gone to a school where many of my peers are just as how she described her college classmates.  Thank you, you Gunn people, for spicing up my high school experience.  Second semester seniors, holla!
