I’m a high school student from Canada

I’m a high school student from Canada who just found this site off of GMH.com, a constant source of hope for me. My school hasn’t gone through anything like yours, and i really hope it doesn’t take that to start supporting each other. Your school gives me so much hope that i can affect change where i’m from, that highschools are capable hope and community of this. Your school, seriously, HMGGMH.

When I was a teenager 40 years ago, high school suicide was unheard of. I went to Alhambra High School and our school had over 1000 students. We were too interested in other things to even consider suicide and I ask myself now at 57, what has changed. Our culture surely has changed, the value of life has changed, beliefs in God, values. Kids, listen up, enjoy your youthful lives, have fun, have some goals and accomplish them, don’t do anything you wouldn’t want your own kid to do. Study and work hard, be involved. I look back at my life and can’t believe 40 years has gone by since I graduated from high school. And before you know it, you’ll be looking back at your life as well. Be the best.
