I just read the sad story of the suicides at Henry M. Gunn High School, cames to this site and read a few pages and then took my Golden Retriever “Murphy” outside. When I opened the door I saw a HUGE rainbow stretching from one end of the horizon to the other!
It reminded me of the joy and wonder that makes up this wonderful planet and the wonderful people who share our lives with us.
Life is NEVER so hopeless that death is a better solution. If you doubt that statement, I challenge you to go to the SPCA shelter in your town and look at the puppies, kittens, cats and dogs that need good homes. Hold any one of them. Those gentle animals will accept and love you unconditionally. They will let you know within a few minutes how important you are to their existence. And if you look into their eyes and open your heart, you will see that God does have a plan for all of us. You are needed in this world, if for no other reason than to help save the life of that creature you are holding and all those like it. Life is a test. We all have to take it. And we are ALL challenged at some point. We all think, at times, that the work is too hard and life would be easier if we were to die. But how you habdle that challenge is what the test is all about. You must not give up. That’s “cutting class”. If you live each day with this in mind, you will be rewarded in your lifetime. The happiness you so desperately need is just around the bend. You simply have to stand up, hold your head high and take the hand of a friend, who like you needs another’s strength to help make the journey easier. Do not give up… ever! Only you can make the world a better place. You must stay the course and do your part. In the end, we shall all graduate together. And believe me, life’s diploma is one that you’ll certainly want to achieve!
